Lauren Reading-Gloversmith | Head Of Publicity | email@example.com
Lauren first felt the call of the music industry at the age of 17, at which point she set up as a local promoter in South Buckinghamshire, under the name of Fearless Promotions. Moving away to study a degree in Biomedical Science put this to an end, but she soon obtained a role as Jägermeister’s Official Rock ‘Jägerette’, a position which she held for 4 years, alongside presenting a YouTube clip style TV show on Sky Channel, Sumo TV.
Following her graduation with a BSc, Lauren moved into the recycling industry with Community Waste Ltd, where she held the position of Business Development Manager for 2 years. During this time she compiled and oversaw the bids for multi-million-pound recycling contracts with a number of local authorities, alongside handling press and publicity opportunities.
By 2011, her passion for music saw Lauren to return once more, swapping business development for journalism at Hit The Floor Magazine and sales as a merchandise manager.
In mid-2012, after teaming up and winning a Brighton-centric competition designed to support young entrepreneurs in building new creative businesses, Lauren and Leander founded Inception Press as an artist-friendly press agency specializing in emerging band campaigns. She has since overseen every one of the business’ 85 campaigns… and counting.
Leander Reading-Gloversmith | Consultant | firstname.lastname@example.org
With a background as a singer in a signed and touring band, Leander ventured further into the music industry in 2004 via music journalism, writing features and reviews for Terrorizer, Rock Sound and Kerrang. From 2005 – 2007 Leander also worked as Editor-In- Chief for now defunct Tuned Magazine, co-presented a music review show on Sky channel Rockworld TV and worked as a rock specialist publicist for London based agency Velocity PR.
From co-founding Inception with Lauren in 2012, Leander’s rather intensive ‘day job’ in Artist Management has become increasingly demanding, meaning he is no longer involved with company’s publicity arm. However, he is well positioned to offer management consultations for artists wishing to seek advice and guidance from a full time and experienced manager. Leander is part of KMGMT, an independent music management and services company. During his 10 years in management, he has been instrumental in the discovery and development of some of the most talented names in the current UK alternative scene, building them from local to international level. His current management roster comprises Neck Deep, As It Is & Creeper. His past roster include Architects, Lower Than Atlantis, Landscapes and Brutality Will Prevail. Alongside offering his band consultancy services via Inception Press & Management, Leander also guest lectures at the likes of BIMM in Brighton & Bristol.
