Cove Show Us ‘All I Believe’: Kent Heavies Release New Video Single From Recent EP, Ahead Of UK Headliner

5th April 2018: Following the release of sophomore EP ‘A Conscious Motion’ on 23rd March, Kent quintet Cove have unveiled the video for single ‘All I Believehere. Guitarist Pete Woolven reveals, “‘We shot the video with Lewis Cater who also directed the video for our first single off of this EP, ‘Coincide:Collide’ (here). ‘All I Believe’ is a song about loss – losing everything you once built your life around, and everyone you care about. The song explores the feeling of helplessness when everything is changing around you and you have no control over it, accepting that and growing from it. It’s deeply personal to the band but everyone can make their own interpretation, not just the specific situation of what it means to us.”

Similarly the band, completed by Jack Bowdery on Drums, Charlie Smith on Bass, Ben Brazier on Guitar and new vocalist Ben Shorten, agreed on the EP’s title ‘A Conscious Motion,’ with each having their own interpretation. Woolven explains his view as concerning “conscious change, making a personal journey”. Revisiting Hidden Track Studios to work again with Oz Craggs, the band’s focus for the record was collaboration, especially in light of their new line-up: “Ben has been an important part of the band, even before he actually joined, having been our friend and sound engineer. He has definitely brought new things to the table, from another person helping to structure and piece together songs, to also exploring different musical dynamics with his voice. There is a little piece of everyone in each song, something we didn’t have before and this has definitely broadened our sound. “Cove” is a group of individuals who make honest music for themselves not based on current trend or flavor of the month.” Reaching new emotional depths, the EP covers themes such as the pain of loss and the challenges of soul-searching and acceptance. A must for fans of While She Sleeps, Architects, Devil Sold His Soul and British heaviness in general, Cove declares: “We got bored of being compared to sounding like other bands – we wrote to sound like Cove.”

The band are soon to embark on their first UK headliner, having recently shared the stage with Sikth and Feed The Rhino. The metal mob will be supported by Parting Gift saying: “We’re really excited about our first headline run in April starting on the 15th, and couldn’t be more excited to have Parting Gift out with us on this run. We want to be a band that even if you don’t like heavy music, you walk away from seeing us thinking “Fuck me, that was good.” Don’t miss out, get your tickets here for any of these April dates: 15th – Bournemouth – Anvil | 16th – Guildford – Boileroom | 17th – Nottingham – Red Rooms | 18th – Manchester – Satans Hollow | 19th – Huddersfield – Parish | 20th – Glasgow – Garage Attic | 21st – Edinburgh – Opium | 22nd – Sheffield – Corporation | 24th – Birmingham – Flapper | 25th – Oxford – Cellar | 26th – Tunbridge Wells – Forum Basement | 27th – Bristol – Mothers Ruin | 28th – Bridgend – Hobos | 30th – London – Thousand Island
